Swauger, 78, of Salisbury, died April 14, 1990, at the Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Dec. 15, 1911, in Elk Lick Township. Son of the late Gernie and Rachel (Boyer) Swauger. Survived by his wife, the former Phyllis Engle. One son, Lynn, of Salisbury; a daughter, Mrs. Buelah Mae Folk, of Springs. Three sisters: Mrs. Florence Kern, of Cincinnati; Mrs. Grace Gray, of Kutztown, Pa., and Mrs. Leora Gartner, Baltimore. Also two grandchildren, Melissa and Eric. He was a veteran of WW II. Member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Daniel J. Whitacre officiating.
