"Punch" Swauger, 65, of Fairhope RD 1, died May 3, 1979, at his residence. He was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Salisbury, the son of Gernie and Rachael (Boyer) Swauger. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ellis. He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Brown; one brother, Burl of Salisbury; and three sisters: Mrs. Lester (Grace) Gray, Kutztown; Mrs. H. R. (Florence) ern, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mrs. Lewis (Leora) Gartner, Baltimore, Md. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Meyersdale and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a retired farmer. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
