  ELMER L. SWAUGER
  
    Elmer L. Swauger, 79, of Star Route, Grantsville, Md., died Friday,
  April 5, 1985 at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. 
    Born Aug. 28, 1905, at Jennings, Md.; he was a son of the late John
  Swauger and Lillian (Hare) Swauger.  He was a retired laborer with the
  Garrett County Roads Department.  He was preceded in death by his
  wife, Grace (Bittinger) Swauger. 
    Surviving are two sons, Harold Swauger of Accident, Md. and Darrell
  Swauger of Grantsville, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Joyce Brown and
  Mrs. Mary Carper, both of Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Norma Bittinger of
  Mount Savage, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Younkin and Mrs. Nora
  Beitzel, both of Grantsville, and Mrs. Ethel Veville of Florida; 18
  grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services
  were conducted with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating.  Interment,
  Bittinger Cemetery.
