  GRACE SWAUGER
  
    Mrs. Grace E. Swauger, 56, Star Route, Grantsville, Md., died March
  20, 1978, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. 
    A native of Jennings, Md., she was a daughter of the late John and
  Bessie (Butler) Bittinger.  She was a member of the Maple Grove
  Church of the Brethren. 
    She is survived by her husband, Elmer Swauger; two sons, Harold
  Swauger, Accident, Md.; and Darrell Swauger, Grantsville, Md.; three
  daughters, Mrs. Mary Carper, Bel Air, Md.; Mrs. Norma Bittinger,
  Frostburg, Md.; and Mrs. Joyce Brown, Baltimore, Md.; two sisters,
  Mrs. Betty Bittinger, Cumberland, Md.; and Mrs. Elva Wilt, Meyersdale
  RD 3; two brothers, John Bittinger, of Grantsville, Md.; and Merrill
  Bittinger, Pennsylvania; 18 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
    Services were held March 23 at the Newman Funeral Home with the
  Rev. John Briner officiating.  Interment, Bittinger Cemetery.
