LOUIS E. SWAUGER

  Albert Swauger of Grantsville has received word of the sudden death of his 
brother, Louis E. Swauger of San Jose, Cal., Friday, February 15.  He was a son 
of the late Henry and Martha (Glotfelty) Swauger of Grantsville and was born at 
New Germany, Oct. 17, 1886.
  He is survived by his wife, Marie Hershey Swauger, four children and 10 
grandchildren.  Also the following brothers and sisters: Albert Swauger, 
Grantsville; Joseph Swauger, Bedford, Ohio; Mrs. Elizabeth Kerns, Philadelphia; 
Mrs. Mae Williams, Canton, O.  
  Mr. Swauger left Maryland about 30 years ago to make his home in California.  
He returned east several times to visit relatives and friends.  His last trip 
East was in 1938.  He had many friends here who will be sorry to learn of his 
death.
  Mr. Swauger was stricken with an illness four years ago and since then had 
been totally blind.
