  FREDERICK D. SWEARMAN
  
    Frederick D. Swearman, 87, of Meyersdale RD 4, died Oct. 11, 1977,
  in Berlin.
    Born at St. Mary's, he was a son of the late Francis and Sarah
  (Bittner) Swearman.  His wife, Mary F. (Saylor) Swearman, preceded
  him in death.
    Mr. Swearman retired from the B&O Railroad in 1957 after 48 years
  as a telegraph operator.  He was a charter member of the Meyersdale
  Lions Club and was a member of Meyersdale Masonic Lodge 554, and
  Hebron Chapter 272, Royal Arch Masons.
    Surviving are two sons, Thomas Swearman, Elk Ridge, Md., and Jack
  Swearman, Adelphi, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary F. Prochko, Jefferson,
  Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Resh, Terre Haute, Ind., and seven
  grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held Oct. 13 at the Price Funeral Home with
  Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  A Masonic service was held Oct. 12
  at the funeral home.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
