He was born March 18, 1911, in Garrett, the son of the late Benjamen [sic] and Emma (Zimmerman) Sweeney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Henining; a sister, Amanda Fulmer; and a brother, Benjamin. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Stella Barbour, Akron, Ohio; two nieces, Kay Barbour, Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Helen Ricss, Choctaw, Okla.; two nephews, John Sager, Cleveland, Ohio; and Floyd Sweeney, Washington, D.C.; and a step-granddaughter, Hope Brocht, Garrett. A retired coal miner, he was an active member of the Garrett Volunteer Fire Department. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home in Berlin. Services were held with Rev. William F.
