  MRS. WILLIAM J. SWEENEY
  
    Mrs. Jane A. Sweeney, 86, of Bedford, died Aug. 22, 1975, in
  Donahoe Manor, Bedford.  Born June 25, 1889, in Meyersdale, she was a
  daughter of John J. and Jane A. (Rowe) Thirkell.  She was preceded in
  death by her parents; a sister, Frances; two brothers, Robert and
  John; and her husband, William J. Sweeney.
    Surviving are a brother, Samuel P. Sweeney, Johnstown; two nephews
  and a sister-in-law.
    Funeral service was held Monday morning in R. Owen Ketterer Funeral
  Home, Geistown, with Rev. Vernon Miller officiating.  Interment in
  Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
