WILLIAM J. SWEENEY

  William J. Sweeney, 67, died Monday morning, Oct. 5, at his home in Garrett 
following a brief illness.  He was a retired trackman of the Baltimore & Ohio 
Railroad.  He was a son of Michael and Mary Sheen Sweeney.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Shroyer Sweeney and the following children: 
Joseph Sweeney, Garrett; Michael Sweeney, with the U.S. Marines at Parris 
Island, S.C.; Charles Sweeney, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. W. F. Phenicie, Garrett; Mrs. 
Frank Sheering, York Run and Mrs. Samuel Farber, MacDonaldton.
  Funeral services were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 in the 
Garrett Church of the Brethren, the Rev. A. Jay Replogle, officiating.  Burial 
in the Garrett Cemetery under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home in 
Berlin.
