Born Feb. 28, 1955, in Grafton, W.Va., she was a daughter of Melvin and Ruby Jane (Castle) Fisher, Elizabethtown, Pa. She is also survived by her husband, Ervin J. Sweitzer; one son, Benjamin Sweitzer, at home; one brother, Vernon Fisher, Ellicott City, Md.; and one sister, Angela Berlin, Sparta, N.J. Cheryl was a substitute teacher with the Garrett County (Md.) Board of Education and also volunteered with the handicapped at the Lodge at Sawmill Hollow. She received a bachelor's degree in food service management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was secretary of Asher Glade Farmers and Wildlife Association and member of the Garrett County Horsemen's Association. Friends were received Tuesday, April 10, at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville. Services were conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 11, with the Rev. William Durst officiating.
