She was aged 41 years, 11 months and 4 days. She gave birth to a child the week before her death. The baby died a few hours after birth. Mrs. Sweitzer was born May 2, 1888, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, the daughter of Josiah and Kate Sanner Hyatt, being a descendant of the pioneers of the Jersey Settlement. Her father died a number of years ago. Her aged mother survived. On March 25, 1905, she married Harry Sweitzer. She is survived by her husband and five children. She had three children who died in infancy. The surviving children are William, aged 15, Lewis, 11, Clifford, 8, Harry, 5, and Elaine, 3 years. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Herman Funk and Mrs. Elsie Glotfelty, both of whom reside in Confluence, and one brother, Lewis Hyatt, of Star Junction, Pa. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Sweitzer lived in Confluence until 1922 when they moved to the property they purchased in the West End of Ursina. Mrs. Sweitzer was a member of the Baptist Church, a sincere Christian and a loving wife and mother. Her life was devoted to her family and home and her death is mourned by a large circle of friends. The funeral took place at the Jersey Church on Tuesday, April 8, Rev. D. E. Hartman officiating; interment in the Jersey cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 17, 1930
