    John W. Swift, 70, Berlin RD 4, died suddenly April 21, 1977.  He
  was born in Masontown Aug. 28, 1906, the son of the late Berkley and
  Eva (Freed) Swift.  Preceded in death by two sisters and two
  brothers.  Survived by his wife, the former Goldie E. Foust; and
  these children: Mrs. Earl E. (Gloria) Oakman, Warren, Ohio; John W.,
  Hollywood, Fla.; Simon B., Berlin RD 4; seven grandchildren; one
  great grandchild.  He was a sister of : Mrs. James (Stella) Baluch,
  Connellsville.  He was a member of the United Church of Christ,
  Berlin, and a monument stone engraver.  Friends are being received in
  the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held
  at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Charles W. Sigler officiating.  Interment,
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin.
