    Alice M. (Mitchell) Swindell Brown, 69, 417 Lou St., Scottdale,
  passed away Oct. 4, in Frick Community Health Center, Mt. Pleasant. 
  Born Jan. 9, 1920, in Summit Mills, daughter of the late Russell and
  Sally (Linderman) Mitchell.  In addition to her parents, preceded in
  death by two sons: Eugene and George Swindell; two brothers, James
  and Clarence Mitchell; and two sisters, Anabelle Younkin and Esther
  Mitchell.  Survived by husband of 13 years, Lawrence E. Brown; four
  daughters, Mrs. Barbara Viele, R.I., Mrs. Robert (Barbara)
  Martinoski, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Ken (Joanette) Evans, Tenn., and Mrs.
  Robee (Rose Mary) Hays, Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Wayne Swindell,
  Va.; David Brown, Mt. Pleasant; Lawrence O. Brown, Mt. Pleasant; 12
  grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Henry
  Mitchell, Mt. Union, four sisters, Mrs. Meriam Lingenfelger, Md.;
  Mrs. Edward (Martha) Flynn, Mrs. Delbert (Grace) Flynn, both of Fla.;
  and Mrs. Ray R. (Jane) Garlick, South Connellsville.  Member of
  Christian Church of Meyersdale.  Friends received in Frank Kapr
  Funeral Home, 417 W., Pittsburg St., Scottdale, from 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.  Funeral service will be
  held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Jerry Hughes,
  pastor of Pennsville Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will
  follow in Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
