  Mrs. Bessie Swindell
  
    Mrs. Bessie Ann Swindell, 82, of Connellsville, formerly of
  Garrett, died May 18, 1977, at Frick Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
    Mrs. Swindell was born at Garrett, and was a daughter of the late
  William and Katherine (Lyberg) Nicalo.  Her husband, William
  Swindell, preceded her in death.
    Surviving are two sons, William, Meyersdale, and George Swindell,
  Milwaukee, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Johansen, Connellsville; three
  brothers, George Garrett RD 1; Jacob, Shanksville, and Richard,
  Maryland; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Lee, McKeesport; 16 grandchildren;
  eight great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held May 21 at Leckemby Funeral Home with
  Rev. James Ryan officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
