Swindell, 68, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Meyersdale, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla. She was a daughter of the late Merle E. and Emma I. (Miller) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Swindell Jr., and a brother, Burdette W. Smith. She was the beloved mother of Cindy, wife of Bill James, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; Lisa, wife of Ken Brock, Rockville, S.C.; and David Swindell and his wife, Tina, Williamsport, Md.; the loving grandmother of: Kristin, Cody, Lindsay, Christopher, Matthew, and Darius. She was a sister of Carol, wife of Keith Winters, Dallas, Ga. Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. William G. Triebe officiating.
