   Carolyn V. Swope, 70, Boswell, passed away March 7, 2008, in Somerset Hospital. Born
  Nov. 19, 1937, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Earl and Alcesta Ritenour Keeler.
  In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her friend, Daniel McMillen.
  Carolyn will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children, Dennis R.
  Swope and wife, Tina, Mill Run; Mark Swope and wife, Ruby, Kantner; Debra D. Sheele and
  friend, Jim Hall, Scottdale; Vicki Ritenour and husband, Keith, Normalville; Timothy
  Swope and wife, Tammy, Scottdale; and Loretta Layman and friend, Jim Nicholson,
  Connellsville; her companion Homer A. Miller, Stoystown; 15 grandchildren; eight
  great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Judy Ritenour and husband, Ronald, Acme; Shelby
  Steyer and friend, Shotgun Shawley, Donegal; Shirley Basinger and husband, Clarence,
  Normalville; and Twila Wright, New Orleans. Carolyn had been a resident of Boswell for
  the last 12 years. She was a member of the Stoystown American Legion and the VFW in
  Ligonier. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and
  Tuesday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc, Route 711, Melcroft, where a funeral
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Donald W. Kephart officiating. A
  committal service and interment will follow in the Normalville Cemetery. To sign the
