Tall, 83, Mentor, Ohio, died Jan. 3, 2008, at his home. He was born March 12, 1924, in Somerset County. Preceded in death by parents, Miles and Edna (Kimmel) Tall; daughter, Susan Younkin; and brothers, James and Arthur Tall. Survived by his wife, Norma J. (Bortz), whom he married in 1958; daughter, Karen Tall, Friedens; stepsons, Terry (Christine Orr) Watson, Moreland Hills, Ohio; and Stephen Watson, Lexington, Ky.; eight grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and sister, Ethelene Tall (Vernon) Coleman, Somerset. He also leaves his son-in-law, Allen Younkin, Friedens. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, stationed on Okinawa Island in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater as a radio operator. He was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church and was a former 40 year member of Euclid Lutheran Church. He was past commander of the former Thatcher Lodge 439 Free and Accepted Masons, a member of the George A. Holly Lodge 745 Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland, Al Koran Shrine Painesville Chapter 46 R.A.M. Eagle Commandery 29 Knights Templar, Euclid Shrine Club, Eagles Shrine Club, Order of the Eastern Star Nottingham Chapter 269 and a former member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 549 in Painesville, Ohio. Mr. Tall was a supervisor/warehouseman for Lubrizol Corp. in Wickliffe, Ohio, for 30 years before his retirement in 1989. A Masonic service was held Tuesday immediately preceding a memorial service.
