Tallentire, 88 Bruceton Mills (Glade Farms community), W.Va., died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, in his home. The son of the late Thomas and Mary Jane Stockdale Tallentire, he was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Markleysburg. He attended the Church of God all his life. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen C. Stoppe Tallentire of Bruceton Mills; two sons and spouses: Thomas and Judy Tallentire of Friedens, and James and Lois Tall entire of Markleysburg; two daughters and spouses: Joann and Albert Shaw of Stoystown and Fern and Joe Gregg of Reedsville, W. Va.; a daughter-in-law and husband, Barbara (Tallentire) and Marvin Stanley of Beaufort, S.C.; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and very close friends: Fred, Darlene and Steven Lint of Markleysburg. Preceded in death by a son, J.D. Tallentire, Aug. 4, 1978 and 10 brothers and sisters. Friends may call in the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville, W.Va., from 2-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the hour of funeral service with Rev. Martin Stewart officiating.
