Irvin Tannehill, 84, of Connellsville died Monday, June 7, 1993, at his home. He was born April 12, 1909, in Somerset County, a son of the late Norman B. and Jenetta Bell Conn Tannehill. He was a retired Carton Dept. foreman at the Anchor Hocking Plant No. 5 and was a social member of the S. Connellsville Fireman's Club and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Connellsville. He is survived by his wife, Zella Leota Ritenour Tannehill, to whom he was married for 62 years; two sons, Fred Ronald of S. Connellsville and W. Robert of St. Louis, Mo., 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; Willis Eugene, Palmer and Harry Tannehill and 6 sisters; Mary, Sarah and Alma Tannehill, Esther Long, Mae Armstrong and Fern Brant. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
