Tannehill, 63, manager of the Fairview Produce Company in West Brownsville, died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday evening, Feb. 7, 1942. Mr. Tannehill was born near Confluence, a son of Jasper N. and Mary Tannehill. He had been connected with the Fairview Produce Company for 32 years, serving as president and manager since 1915. He also was a director of the Pittrol Fuel Company, Monongahela. He had been active in civic affairs in his community, having served as a member of the West Brownsville Borough Council and a member of several civilian defense committees. He served as treasurer of the Christian Church and was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. Surviving are two brothers, Sherman N. Tannehill, Washington, Pa., and Robert F. Tannehill, Confluence; a sister, Mrs. Etta Colmer, West Brownsville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the family home at 11 Monday morning with additional rites in the Jersey Church, Confluence, at 2, by the Rev. A. F. Hanes, pastor of the First Christian Church, West Brownsville. Burial in the Confluence church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 12, 1942
