He was born July 22, 1896 in Kittanning. Preceded in death by his wife Lottie in 1988. Survived by one son, Clyde Jack Tarr of Canton; one step-son Ethan Pritts of Indian Head and three grandchildren. Member of the First United Methodist Church of Somerset. He was a retired employe of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and worked on river locks in the Pittsburgh area. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Lash officiating. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Somerset American, June 11, 1974 [T025]
