Taylor, 68, Confluence, died Sept. 24, 1996 at Uniontown Hospital. Born Nov. 16, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Edward and Chloe (Shipley) Taylor. Also preceded in death by wife, Grace Ellen (Detrick). Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. John (Connie) Barnsworth and Mrs. Harry (Nancy) Barnsworth, both of Mill Run; two sons: Edward of Ursina and Roger of Brunswick, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Harmon, Ligonier; and a cfose companion, Phyllis Clevenger, with whom he made his home. Member of Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association, Confluence VFW Post 7250 and the American Legion. A retired truck driver for Ringer Independent Oil Company Markleysburg. Veteran of U.S. Navy. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. A. Merl Calkins officiating.
