Taylor, 84, of Hyndman, formerly of Meyersdale died Sept. 7, 1973; in Bedford County MemoriaL Hospital, where he had been a patient four days. He had been in failing health for some time. A native of Hazelton, W. Va., he was a son of the late George and Emma (Faulkner) Taylor. His wife, the former Margaret Shultz, died in August 1964. A retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad engineer, he was a member of Hyndman United Methodist Church, Hebron Chapter 272 and Meyersdale Lodge F&AM, in which he held a pin for 50-year membership. He was also a member of Hyndman Grange, Hyndman Volunteer Fire Company and was a Brother of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard E. (Vietta) Shaffer, Hyndman; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, Webster Taylor, of Dayton, Ohio. Funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon in Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with Rev. Willard M. White officiating. Interment in Hyndman Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, Sept 13, 1973 [T058]
