"Billie" Taylor, 83, a residence of the Frostburg Village Nursing Home, formerly of 75 Broadway, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1988, at Frostburg Community Hospital, Md. Born Oct. 16, 1905, in Grantsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary (Beachy) Custer. Her husband, C. Gordon Taylor, preceded her in death. She was a retired Allegany County school teacher. She was a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church, the National Retired Teachers Association, the Maryland Retired Teachers Association, the Allegany County Retired Teachers Association, and the Ornithological Society. Surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Anna C. Wengerd, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Lena C. Kellam, Falls Church, Va.; two brothers: Woodrow C. Custer, Frostburg, Md.; and John M. Custer, Ely, Nev.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, where services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Richard K. McCullough.
