Taylor, 73, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., formerly of Salisbury, died March 21, 1974, at Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, Fla. Born Sept. 13, 1900, in Friendsville, Md., he was a son of the late Washington and Mary (Glover) Taylor. Surviving are his wife, the former Lucille Garlets; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Lee Sledge, Rockville, Md.; a stepson, Dale E. Quinn, San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Taylor of West Palm Beach, Fla. He was retired from the B&O Railroad after 47 years service. He was a former station agent in West Salisbury and Boswell. A member of the Congregational Church of New Smyrna Beach, he was also affiliated with the Masonic Lodge, Fairmont, W. Va., Uniontown Commandery 49 and Ali Ghan Shrine, Cumberland, Md. Funeral service was held Monday afternoon in Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, with Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating.
