Paul Tedrow, 89, of Hollidaysburg formerly of Storrs, Conn. died May 9, 2000 at Hollidaysburg Lutheran Home. Born April 4, 1911 in Rockwood son of John and Emma Grace (Younkin) Tedrow. Preceded in death by parents, brothers: Robert and Frank, and grandson: Paul Michael Tedrow. Survived by his wife of 63 years the former Edna Zimmerman, and these children: Allan C. married to the former Mary Jean Haywood, Clifton Park, N.Y.; Paul M. married to the former Prabha Kumbare, Lexington, Mass.; David C., Annapolis, Md.; Caroline married to Gerald D'Wynter, Avenue, Md.; and James R. married to the former Jeanne Cannina, Raleigh, N.C., 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Brother of: Blanche Purbaugh and Eleanor Romesberg, both of Rockwood, and John C. F. Tedrow, New Jersey. Graduate of Penn State University and member of Phi Mu Delta Fraternity. Retired State Conservationist for Connecticut and Rhode Island for the Dept. Of Agriculture with 38 years service. After retirement, he maintained a summer home on the family farm outside Stoystown. Member of Storrs' Congregational Church in Connecticut, and attended St. Paul's U.C.C., Stoystown in the summer. Member of Stoyestown Historical Society. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Paul E. Claycomb, officiating.
