TEETS George Harvey Teets, 100, Bear Creek Road, died Thursday, March 2, 1989, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md. Born Feb. 25, 1889, in Hazelton, W. Va., he was the son of the late Jermiah and Laura (Bell) Glover Teets. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Arvetta Teets. He was a retired timberman and member of the Blooming Rose Methodist Church. Surviving are eight sons: Arthur Teets, Bruceton Mills, W. Va.; Stanley Teets, Friendsville, Md.; Ivan Teets, Mercer; Glen Teets and Orville Teets, both of Swanton; Warren Teets, Miami, Fla.; Junior Harvey Teets, Chicago, Ill.; and Kenneth Teets, Norfolk, Va.; two daughters: Rose Laub, Confluence; and Mildred Umbel, Friendsville, Md.; one brother, Frank Teets, Friendsville, Md.; one sister, Ada Herring, Farmington; 37 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, where services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dana Umbel. Interment, Sand Spring Cemetery.
