  William Daniel "Dan" Telenko, 84, of Friedens RD 2, formerly of Jerome,
  died Aug. 29, 1996, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born July 17,
  1912, in Fayette County, son of Frank Sr. and Sarah M. (Thomas) Telenko.
  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Jennie Hurst, who died May
  1, 1993; sisters: Margaret Dill, Alice Christie and brothers: Stephen,
  Robert and Joseph.  Survived by these children: Daniel W., married to Josephine
  Stosick, Columbia, Md., and LaRue, wife of Robert Carpenter, with whom he
  resided; grandchildren: Daniel Telenko, Lisa (Telenko) Morell, Deanna
  Carpenter and Lynette Lazer and great-grandchildren: Michael and Daniel
  Telenko and Daniel and Aliceson Morell.  Brother to Thomas, married to Norma
  Marchi, and Ronald, married to Carolyn McDaniel, both of Jerome; Frank Jr.,
  married to Margaret, Monticello, Ga.; James, married to Dora Nicolli
  Hollsopple RD 1, and Sara Ruth, wife of Raymond Zwick, Scranton; also
  numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of St. Anne Catholic Church,
  Davidsville; International Operating Engineers and the UMWA.  Retired miner
  and operating engineer.  Army veteran of World War II.  Friends received from
  7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held Sunday
  evening.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anne Chapel,
  Jerome (formerly Holy Cross Church), the Rev. Father Conrad Salach, O.F.M.
  Conv., celebrant.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
