Va., died May 24, 1980 in Chesapeake General Hospital. She was born July 12, 1899 in Springs daughter of Nathan and Lydia (Stevanus) Keim. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Thomas J. Tennefoss, and children Carl, Carrie, Meredith and Mrs. Mae Bowell. She is survived by five daughters and two sons; Mrs. Ruth T. Burgess, Norfolk, Va.; Mrs. Dorothy Hochstetler and Mrs. Pauline Crowley, Chesapeake, Va.: Mrs. Hester Welfley, Mrs. Mary E. Schlabach and Thomas J. Tennefoss, Jr. of Greenwood, Delaware and James R. Tennefoss, Amelia, Va. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Sipple, Meyersdale RD, Mrs. Ida Cain, Chesapeake, Va. and Mrs. Stella Hoyle, Cumberland, Md.; 35 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted May 26 by Rev. Amos D. Wenger and Rev. Robert Mast at the Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church, Fentress, Va. where she had been a member for many years. Burial in the church cemetery. The Republic, June 5, 1980 [T107]
