Born July 11, 1920, in McAlevys Fort, the daughter of Walter William and Permilla Jane (Bumgardner) Ries. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Albert Testa, who died Feb. 1, 1971, and brother George C. Ries. Survived by children, Mrs. Coralorene Sheeler and husband Harold, Somerset; Thomas Albert Testa, Huntingdon; and Jerry Testa and wife Gail, Newark, Del. Also, daughter-in-law and devoted friend, Mary Darcey Testa, Richmond Hill, Ga.; grandchildren, James Foust, Jason Sheeler, Heath Sheeler, Amy Burris, Jerry Jr. Testa, Danny Thomas Testa and Brittany Testa; great-grand-children, J.D., Andrew, Albert and Elizabeth Pearl Foust, and Hunter Testa; and one great-great-grandson. Also survived by brother and sister, Richard Ries, Loxahatchee, Fla.; and Betty Lou Steele, Listie; and numerous nieces and nephews and her companion, her cat Samantha. Mildred will be missed. She was a beloved mother, who made her family laugh. Christmas was a season she held dear and she is now in heaven. Mildred attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Mildred spent her years in Huntingdon, Belleville and Friedens. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bible Baptist Church, Somerset, with Dr. Dale Lyzbicki officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, September 7, 2006
