Thomas, 71, of Meyersdale, formerly of West Salisbury, died Sept. 14, 1988, in the Butler V.A. Medical Center. Born Oct. 21, 1916, in Berlin, son of the late John and Anna (Manges) Thomas. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Rodomor. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Smith of Meyersdale; four grandchildren: Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Broadwater, Robert Allen, Richard Michael and Mark Scott Smith, all of Meyersdale; and six great-grandchildren; three brothers: Joe of Bedford; John A., Berlin; Floyd of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters: Mrs. Lucille Ritchey and Mrs. Katherine Trent, both of Berlin; Mrs. Mary Miller, Boswell; and Mrs. Kathleen Miller, Somerset. He was a retired burner at the American Bridge Co., Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Member of Salisbury American Legion, Salisbury VFW and the B.P.O.E. No. 1951 of Meyersdale. Friends will be received Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., with the Rev.
