  Arthur L. Thomas Sr., 72, Hollsopple RD 2, died May 20, 1990, at Lee
  Hospital.  Born April 12, 1918, in Thomas Mills, son of Irvin and Elsie
  (Thomas) Thomas.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Vera Miller, and
  brothers, Vernon, Morris, Ralph and Elmer.  Survived by wife, former Emily
  Elaine Gray; sons, Arthur L. Jr., married to former Norma Kaufman,
  Canfield, Ohio; Leslie L., married to former Davene Boyer, Hollsopple RD 2;
  daughters, Phyllis Elaine, wife of Edward Streik, Hollsopple RD 1, and Robin
  Dawn, wife of Edward B. Walukas, Irvin; also 8 grandchildren.  Brother of
  Edith Barger, Johnstown RD, and Norman, Hollsopple RD 2.  Member of
  Benscreek Lutehran Church, Hollsopple Senior Citizens, Scottyland Charter
  Club, Senior Citizen Windber Bowling Team, and Lutheran Men's League. Army
  veteran of World War II.  Retired employee of Johnstown Works, U.S. Steel,
  with more than 40 years of service.  Observed 48th wedding anniversary Feb.
  8, 1990.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to
  9 p.m. Tuesday at Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell.  Service at 11 a.m.
  Wednesday at Benscreek Church, where viewing also will be held from 10 a.m.
  until time of service, Rev. Lloyd T. Wilson.  Interment, Maple Spring
  Cemetery.  Memorials to Benscreek Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
