  Carolyn E. Thomas, 71, of Berlin, formerly of Somerset, died Jan. 2, 2002
  at Meadow View Nursing Center.  Born Feb. 10, 1930 in Quemahoning Township,
  she is the daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth (Stahl) Snyder.  Also
  preceded in death by an infant sister.  Survived by husband, Robert Thomas
  of Laurel, Miss., son, Terry L. Thomas of Somerset, two grandchildren, two
  great-grandchildren and a sister Betty Fritz of Florida.  Member of Christ
  Casebeer Lutheran Church.  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in
  the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Saturday with Pastor Dennis Doebler officiating.  Interment in Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
