  THOMAS
  
  Catherine S. Thomas, 97, of Confluence died April 11, 2002 at her home.  She
  was born March 27, 1905 in Mill Run, a daughter of the late Milton F. and
  Mabel M. (Sipe) Stickel.  Preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Thomas
  and brothers Milton and Robert.  She is survived by a daughter Nancy T.
  Hillman PhD. of Pittsburgh and a son Robert O. Thomas Jr. of Washington,
  Pa.; two grandchildren Patrick W. Thomas and Catherine Rose Thomas.  She
  graduated from Connellsville High School in 1924 and from Indiana State
  Teachers College (IUP) in 1927.  A member of the Confluence United
  Methodist Church and Methodist Women, the Women's Civic Club, Great
  Crossing Chapter DAR and the Harry A. McKee Chapter 34, O.E.S. of
  Homestead, and former member of the Women's, Club of Homestead.  Friends,
  will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home
  Confluence where services will be held at p.m. Monday with the Rev. Peter
  Foreman officiating.  Interment Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery.
