(Boots) Thomas, 73, of Ashland, Ohio, died Sept. 16, 1972, in Samaritan Hospital, after a long illness. He was born Dec. 15, 1898, in Salisbury, a son of the late Mahlon and Clara (Vogel) Thomas. Surviving are his wife, Portia; three brothers, Harry of Florida; Forrest of Baltimore, Md.: and Ernest of Ashland; two sisters, Miss Rose Thomas and Mrs. Dorothy Moyer, both of Catasaqua, Pa. He was preceded in death by a sister. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Heyl Funeral Home, with burial in Ashland County Memorial Park, Ashland.
