  Donald G. "Mickey" Thomas 75, Peach Street, Jenners, DOA April 13, 1996, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Nov. 20, 1920, in Ralphton, son of George E. and Eva
  Pearl (Gaumer) Thomas.  Preceded in death by parents; infant sister,
  Annabelle, and sisters, Mary Thomas and Margaret Friedline.  Survived by
  wife, the former Betty Jane Turner; children: Gary G., married to Donna J.
  Gilbert, Somerset; Linda J., wife of Douglas Shumaker, Stoystown RD 1;
  Carletta, wife of Gerald Yourich, Jenners; Robert J., Alexandria, Va., and
  Donald R., married to Barbara Gowarty, Stoystown RD 1; 7 grandchildren; 3
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Dorothy, wife of Arthur Dawson, and Robert,
  married to Arbutus Peterson, both of Jennerstown, and Selene, wife of Calvin
  Geisweidt, Davidsville.  Member of Jerome Post 802, American Legion; Somerset
  County Oldtimers Baseball Association, and UMWA.  Life Member of Hollsopple
  Post 8861 VFW.  Retired coal miner and  Army veteran of World War II.
  Observed 52nd wedding anniversary Oct. 12, 1995.  Friends received from 2
  and 1-9 p.m. Monday and until the time of service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, the Rev. C.J. Ickes
  officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.  Memorials to the
  Boswell Volunteer Fire Dept Ambulance Fund, Boswell, Pa., 15531 would be
  appreciated.
