"Fuzz" 02/23/05 Daily American Donald W. "Fuzz" Thomas, 75, Hyasota, died Feb. 22, 2005, at his home. Born Oct. 13, 1929, in Somerset, son of Foster V. and Alice L. (Smalley) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents and wife, former R. Lorraine Reynolds, on March 31, 1994. Survived by daughters, Bonnie, married to Thomas Platt, Hyasota and Donna; grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Platt and special friend, Viola Page. Retired equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66. Member of Jerome Post 802 American Legion; Jerome Sportsmen Association; Hooversville Post 7565 VFW; Jenner Rod and Gun Club; New Baltimore Sportsmen's Association; Jerome Nest, 556 Polish Falcons of America; Greater Ferndale Sportsmens Club and the Somerset County Old Timers Baseball Association. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
