  Dorothy E. Foust-Thomas, 87, of Wichita, Kan. formerly of Garrett, died May
  25, 2003 in Wichita. Born May 23, 1916 in Brothersvalley Township, daughter
  of Russell and Celia (Boyer-Yoder) Brant. Preceded in death by parents;
  first husband Dalton Foust; second husband Roy W. Thomas; son Merle Foust;
  grandsons Jay Koontz and William Foust; sisters Martha Fisher and Mary
  Barkman, and brothers Earl and Ernest Brant.  Survived by these children:
  Betty married to Jerry Koontz of Wichita, Kan., Jean married to John Novak
  Jr. of Greensburg, and Roy W. Thomas Jr., married to the former Gail
  Chevrier of Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a
  sister Elsie Ross of Durham, N.C.  Former co-owner of Carl's Fruit Stand in
  Florida. Member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren. Visitation was Thursday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Service will be held at 11 a.m. today at
  Beachdale Church of the class of 1981. Family will receive friends from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where a funeral
  service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Larry Black officiating.
  Internment Pine Hill Lutheran Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be sent
  to the American Cancer Society, Somerset Unit, 168 W. Union Street,
  Somerset, Pa. 15501.
