Thomas, 74, Soap Hollow Road, Johnstown, died Feb. 17, 2007, at Church of the Brethren Home, Windber. Born Sept. 22, 1932, in Jenner Township, daughter of Freeman J. and Fannie (Kaufman) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Harley Thomas, who died in 1996 and an infant half-brother. Survived by stepmother, Cora M. (Hostetler) Thomas, Johnstown; brothers and sisters, Dorsey E., married to the former Joyce Kauffman, Johnstown; Grace A., wife of David Stayrook, Red Lion; sister-in-law, Maretta (Kaltenbaugh) Thomas, widow of Harley, Davidsville; half-brother, Floyd J., married to the former Linda Naugle, Lancaster; and 18 nieces and nephews. She was a life long member of Thomas Mennonite Church, Thomas Mills. She lived with her Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Paul Kniss for 45 years as a house maid and helped care for their elderly parents. She was a member and coworker with Conemaugh Township Historical Society and was a member of the Tire Hill Senior Citizens and the Friendly Circle at Stahl Mennonite Church, where she attended services regularly. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stahl Mennonite Church. The Rev. Tom Croyle and The Rev. D. Wayne Lasure officiating. Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery.
