Evelyn L. (Adams) Thomas, 84, Berlin, formerly of Jerome, died Feb. 5, 2006, at 
Meadow View Nursing Center. Born Oct. 13, 1921, in Blough, Somerset County, 
daughter of Jonathan and Virginia (Yost) Adams. Preceded in death by parents; 
husband of 53 years, Orange R., May 13, 2001; son, Van, June 30, 2001; sisters, 
Mary Kessler, Alice Short, Clara Adams, Edna Pyle and Jessie Sheets; and 
brothers, William and Melvin Adams. Survived by sons, Eugene, Boswell RD, and 
Larry, married to Jean Palmer, Petersburg, Va.; grandchildren, Crystal, Jamie, 
Jennifer, George, Kristin and Brandi; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. Member of the former Jerome Lutheran Church. Viewing from 6 
to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main 
Street, Boswell, where service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday. Larry C. Hoover 
officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery.
