  Franklin H. Thomas, 69, of Friedens RD 1 died April 12 at his residence.
  Born Aug. 1, 1909, in Somerset Township, a son of Frank and Effie (Walker)
  Thomas.  Survived by his widow, the former Gwendolyn Dunmyer, and these
  children: Harvey of Ypsilanti, Mich.; Gerald of Rowland Heights, Calif;
  Mrs. Raymond (Esmarelda) Holland of East Freedom, Pa.; Mrs. Elwood
  (Delores) Day of Friedens RD 1; also seven grandchildren and seven
  great-grandchildren.  Survived by these brothers and sisters: Guy Thomas of
  Greensburg; Charles of Florida; Mrs. Paul (Kathryn) Ferner of Rockwood; and
  Lena Shumaker of Somerset.  Preceded in death by one great-grandchild and one
  sister.  Friends received in the Richard E. Hauger Home after 7 p.m.
  Thursday.  Funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn
  officiating.  Interment, Weller Cemetery.
