  HARVEY S. THOMAS 
  
  Harvey S. Thomas, 83, of Williamsport, died Saturday, May 14, 1983, in the
  Williamsport Hospital.  He was born May 15, 1902, in Maple Summit.  A son of
  the late Samuel and Louisa (Rose) Thomas, he is survived by his wife,
  Rillie Chestnut, and the, following children: John E Thomas of Farmington
  Hill, Mich.; Emma Pearl Rarick of Bedford Heights, Ohio; and Beverly
  Hinston of Linden; also nine grandchildren, ten great - grandchildren and
  one sister, Mrs. Sarah Rush of Confluence.  He was a member of the Trinity
  Gospel Church of Williamsport.  He was a former member of Confluence Church
  of the Nazarene.  He owned and operated the H.S. Thomas Coal Company of
  Listonburg and worked for Bedford Gear Company of Bedford, Ohio.  Friends
  were received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where funeral
  services were held with the Rev. Raymond Schermerhorn officiating.
  Interment, Jersey Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made
  to Confluence Nazarene Church.
