  HELEN THOMAS
  
  Helen M. Thomas, 83, of Route 1, Friendsville, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1993,
  at Sacred Heart Hospital.  She was born April 21, 1909, in Friendsville, she
  was the daughter of the late Lott and Mary (Humberson) VanSickle.  She was
  also preceded in death by her husband, Foster L. Thomas on Oct. 3, 1977; a
  daughter, Gaye Lou Paul; and a great-grandson, Travis Carr.  Mrs. Thomas was
  a homemaker and a member of Blooming Rose United Methodist Church.  Survivors
  include three sons, Marvin Thomas and Gary Thomas, both of Friendsville and
  Gerald Thomas of Clarksville, Tenn.: two daughters, Mary Weddle, Annapolis,
  Md., and Maxine Gaumer, Grantsville; four sisters, Evelyn Jenkins Lauretta
  VanSickle Friendsville.  Agnes[?] Teets, Bruceton Mills, W.V, and Blanche
  Farmington; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Friends	received
  Monday at the Newman Funeral home, Friendsville.  Services were conducted in
  the funeral Home Tuesday with Rev. Robert Milliren officiating.  Interment
  Blooming Rose Cemetery.
