  James R. Thomas, 60, Blacks Hill Road, Boswell RD, died Nov. 7, 1997, at
  home.  Born Feb. 5, 1937, in Ralphton.  Preceded in death by mother, Mary
  (Thomas) Eisele.  Survived by wife, the former Shirley Peterson, daughter,
  Pattie, wife of Douglas Harned, Jennerstown; very special granddaughter
  Amanda Dawn Harned, and numerous other relatives.  Member of Laurel Hill
  Gospel Tabernacle, Jennerstown.  1955 graduate of the former J.B.J. Joint
  High School.  Employed at Hemminger's Auto and Truck Parts for 25 years.
  Observed 37th wedding anniversary April 23, 1997.  Friends will be received
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and until time of service at 1:30 p.m.
  Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, with the Rev. C.J.
  Ickes and the Rev. Gary Anderson officiating.  Interment, Homer-Mt. Tabor
  Cemetery, Stoystown RD.
