Thomas, 81, Dubois, formerly of Somerset, died June 27, 2006, at Nelson's Golden Years Personal Care Home in Dubois. Son of William R. and Blanche Wissinger Thomas, he was born March 31, 1927, in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, T. Maxine Carnahan Thomas in 1999; a son, David Thomas; a grandson, Edward Stone; two brothers, William and Paul Thomas; five sisters, Mariam Thomas, Luella Hannah, Martha Mills, Elinor Rupert, and Frances Campbell. Survived by a daughter, Diane Endress and husband William of Dubois; a brother, John C. Thomas, Ligonier; a sister, Ida Mae Lawton, Shelocta; a daughter-in- law, Mary Beth Thomas; four grandchildren, Sandy Fry, William Endress, Caitlin Thomas and Michael Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Logan Fry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Thomas was a heavy equipment operator with Latrobe Construction Co. He was a member of the International Union of Operators and Engineers Local 66 and the Bakersville V. F.D. Mr. Thomas was a Jefferson Township Supervisor and a member of the Bakersville Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Somerset. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Robinson-Lytle Inc., Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Elisa Ozman officiating.
