  Kenneth J. Thomas, 64, Hollsopple, died Sept. 2, 2002 at Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born July 10, 1938 in Johnstown, son of Lewis S. and Pearl E.
  (Crigger) Thomas.  Preceded in death by parents, first wife former Erica
  Pohl, second wife, former Gair B. (Wilson) Stanton, and stepfather Paul
  Rice.  Survived by stepchildren; Sharon, wife of Scott Ickes, Monroeville;
  Jeffrey Stanton, White Haven, Pa.; and Cindy Stanton, Hollsopple.  Also
  grandchildren, Haley Stanton, Spencer, Nicole, and Sean Ickes.  Brother of
  Robert L., Ga.; Ted and Vera Helbig, both of Windber; Mary Lou Burkhart,
  Salix; David. Johnstown; and Joyce Liggitt, and Rick, both of Walnut Port,
  Pa.  Retired from U.S. Army as chief warrant officer, veteran of Vietnam war
  where he was decorated with numerous medals, then retired from H.E. Wagner
  Motor Sales, Johnstown.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Thursday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber where service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Friday.  The Rev, Denton Lester, officiating.  Interment
  Ogletown Cemetery with military graveside rite by Windber VFW Ritual Team.
