Born in Confluence, May 12,1903, he was the son of the late Ephriam S. and Alverta (Burnsworth) Thomas. His wife, Anna B. (Richter) Thomas, died April 22, 1987. A retired track supervisor in the engineering department of the B&O Railroad, he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Tuscarawas Lodge 59, AF &AM, Dover, Ohio, and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Canton, Ohio. Surviving are two sons, James M. Thomas, Shinnston; Wesley J. Thomas, Bridgeport; one daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Henry, Keyser, 11 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Markwood - McKenzie Funeral Home, where services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. David R. Peters. Interment, Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, Md.
