Born July 9, 1932, in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Forrest and Amelia (Skidmore) Thomas. Also preceded in death by his former wife, Ida Jane (Michaels) Thomas, and a brother, Ralph Thomas. Survived by two sons, Forrest and Scott Thomas, both of Baltimore; three daughters: Melissa Davies, Kimberly Tarburton and Rebecca Viands, all of Baltimore; three brothers: John Thomas, Great Cacapon, W. Va.; William Thomas, Baltimore, and Richard Thomas, Fallston, Md.; three sisters: Emogene Christner, Salisbury; Helen Housel and Pauline Harmic, both of Meyersdale, and 11 grandchildren. Veteran of Korean Conflict. Friends will be received from 1 until the time of service at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Newman Funeral Homes, PA., Grantsville, Md., Rev. Chad Nelson officiating.
