  Marian S. Thomas, 79, of Berlin died June 1, 1997, at Meyersdale Medical
  Center.  Born June 13, 1917, in Berlin.  Daughter of Edward and Amelia
  (Floto) Levy.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Sarah Wunder; brother,
  Robert F. Levy, and infant son, James B. Sloniger.  Survived by a son, John
  Sloniger, married to the former Pat Kessler of Pittsburgh; granddaughters
  Stacie and Julie.  Member of the Lutheran faith.  Family will receive friends
  from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where
  services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Melvin A. Kirk
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
