  Oland G. "Bud" Thomas, 65, Johnstown, formerly of Boswell, died March 27,
  1985, at Lee Hospital.  Born May 14, 1919, in Boswell.  A son of Cletus W.
  and Muriel (Shaffer) Thomas.  Preceded in death by his father who died in
  1976.  Survived by his mother, Berlin; three children, Linda Kelvoren,
  Pontiac, Mich.; Richard, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; Gene, Reading,
  Calif.; and eight grandchildren.  Brother of Burton W., married to the
  former June McVicker, Stoystown RD 1.  Navy veteran of World War II.  Friends
  received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny
  Street, Boswell, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, the Rev.
  Donald Speigle officiating.  Interment, St. James Cemetery.
